What is Responsive Care?


Responsive care is a new way of delivering person centred care to meet the changing needs of the individual. 
Responsive care is a ‘Pay as you go’ care package making getting support as and when needed easier, cheaper and far less intrusive helping to keep an individual as independent as possible. As simple as making a phone call or pushing a lifeline we can have a carer attend to help support with personal or domestic care. 

How does Responsive Care work?
The whole idea of Responsive care is that it does what it says on the tin. Mi Casa provides care when needed without the constraints of scheduled calls. This way care is delivered when needed most and in an affordable way. 
A monthly administration fee is charged with each additional hour of care delivered invoiced at the end of the month giving the individual full control of their budget and support needs. More suited to the individual who has capacity to make decisions regarding their care package. 


Who can use  Responsive Care with Mi Casa Care?

Anyone who needs support is welcome to use Responsive Care although we don't yet offer responsive nursing care - but it won't be long!

With its flexible approach and our extensively trained Community Response Team we can support you as and when you need us. 

We can support you if you are funding your own care and if you are in receipt of direct payments. At present if you are provided with support through your local authority we

Every one has good days and bad days and at Mi Casa Care we have tried to acknowledge that with our new Responsive Care package. Peace of mind knowing that you can live your life to the fullest knowing that we're always here when you need that little bit of extra support. 

With just a small monthly administration fee payable you only pay for the care you receive.  Which means that you are able to manage your money and your independence to your own needs ALL of the time.

How do I request Responsive Care with Mi Casa Care?

Using Responsive Care you have a number of options of how to request care with Flexibility being the key!

Care calls can be scheduled as in domiciliary care which are booked ahead or requested at short notice if your circumstances suddenly change. They can also be requested each and every day taking each day as it comes. 

Simply ring our Freephone number and speak to your own personal care manager or push your lifeline and request a care call (if in emergency) from us as we are happy to be a named contact for all Responsive care clients.

How is my level of care assessed with Mi Casa Care?

Care provided through Responsive Care is treated just the same as if you were to be provided with a live in carer or domiciliary care. 

A full needs assessment will be conducted to assess the level of support you require and full care plan and communication log provided. Our Community Response Team will support you with personal care, domestic support, sitting services, welfare checks just as a normal care package would offer.
